The Contour Kits Hype!

So since last year the hype of "contouring" hit social media with a bang! 'Contouring' is a beauty method that involves "carving" the face with a darker shade of foundation or powder - creating the illusion of more defined cheekbones, a slimmer nose, shorter nose, slimming the face, temporarily getting rid of a unwanted double chin and it's also used on the body for creating cleavage, abs etc - it's been used in the industry for years! Even Marylin Monroe's Make-Up Artist contoured her nose to make it look more narrow (she had her nose done and they said it still wasn't small enough so that's where contouring came to the rescue!) using Sonia as my muse . (This type of contouring is used for photo shoots and red carpet events) Contouring isn't a new thing for people who have been in the industry for years, it's just become popular to the world because of social media, all the pictures and videos you see being posted on the Internet...

Possibly the best brushes you could own!

Hey guys, hope you're all well. I've been trying a bunch of beauty related products lately and usually wait about two months max depending on the product before I review it. As a beauty lover and Make-up Artist we have to have the right tools, I have been raving about Wayne Goss brushes for 3 weeks now, I even took them with me to fashion week (had to mark each one, ha!) I'm going to tell you guys why these brushes are worth every penny (I'm not just saying this because I'm a huge fan of his and have been for as long as I can remember) If you follow me on Instagram and take a look at the most recent photos I have posted of my work you will realise a difference in my application of Make-up and that's because of these brushes. On Instagram people are always asking "what foundation, what concealer?!" or "what contour?" it's not always about the products it's more about how you choose to use them and what tools you use with the products. ...

Lash growth and my mascara recommendations

Hey everyone, it's Sonia! Anyone that knows me knows that I am a huge lash person. I have naturally very small, fine lashes so from as long as I can remember I have been trying out mascaras so you can say I have tried every mascara out there...if not every, then most! So last year I started using Rapid Lash , it's a lash growth serum. I only got it to try and I started using it every night before bed on my top and bottom lashes. I saw a difference after the third month! I'm a falsies person so I will wear falsies all the time, I wear natural looking ones with a thin band so they don't feel like I have any lashes on. I always curl my lashes before applying mascara and i use the Kevyn Aucion lash curler - the best one out there! it keeps my lashes curled all day. Once I started to apply mascara I noticed the change in my lashes instantly! I have been on the hunt for the best mascaras out there for short fine lashes and here are my faves... 1. My all time favourite is MAC ...

Dubai Workshop

Hi guys,  just a post to tell you guys about my first Dubai workshop, how it went, what I taught and the whole experience in general.  I had decided to do a two day workshop in Dubai for a while but had been super busy in London, When I finally decided to set a date I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted limited seats, when I say limited I mean I wanted no more than 20 because that's how I know huge beauty brands would take part. We had Giorgio Armani beauty as the official sponsor and our workshop was THE FIRST they had ever sponsored! I was so grateful, I had the whole Giorgio Armani makeup collection in my hotel room and I was actually in make-up heaven.  I think it was the ultimate makeup class sponsor especially for my first one in Dubai. We had Lilly Ghalici * glam queen * as the special guest and I got to do her makeup during her stay which was so much fun for me, I decided to give my own twist to it when applying her makeup and I think a lot of you noticed ;)  D...

Winter Skin Prep and Foundation Recommendations

Hey guys! So I've been experimenting with some products since the winter started. During the winter our skin needs a lot of moisture and hydration no matter what skin type you have. The products I am going to be writing about are products that have worked for people with different skin types. So it's a lot colder and our skin needs that glow, winter drains us out and we can't have the same routine as the summer. First thing I always recommend to people is a good exfolitor! there's so many out there but I have always gone back to the same one - Angels on bare skin by Lush Cosmetics . It's natural, fresh, no chemicals and vegan! This product will have your skin feeling like a baby's bum! It's dry so you get a pea size amount and make it into a paste with some warm water and this will gently exfoliate your skin, removing the dead skin. Because this product is so gentle you can exfoliate a few times a week with it and it's for ALL skin types. It contains gr...
